The Woodlands at Furman is not about retiring, it’s about re-inspiring.


The Woodlands at Furman, a not-for-profit continuing care retirement community, is located on 22-acres adjacent to Furman University. Location isn’t the only thing that connects The Woodlands to Furman. Residents of The Woodlands will also have access to a variety of services and programs at Furman, including OLLI, The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. The Woodlands allows residents to continue growing, learning and discovering life.


The Woodlands offers 144 independent living apartments. One-, two- and three-bedroom apartments are available, with multiple floor plans to choose from. Apartment homes boast many impressive features, including screened porches and balconies, walk-in closets, ample storage and spacious living areas. In addition, apartments include a washer and dryer and cable and high-speed internet.


The Woodlands also features maintenance-free living, which means more time for you to explore our numerous amenities, such as a library, arts and crafts studio, and state-of-the-art fitness center. The Woodlands also offers fine and casual dining, a social lounge, beauty salon and spa, barbershop and Media room.


In addition to independent living The Woodlands also offers health services at The Arboretum, located at The Woodlands. The Arboretum offers assisted living, skilled nursing and memory support services.
